A 20-year-old man was found dead and another was found seriously injured after police responded to the scene of a shooting in Pine Castle.
On Monday, April 24, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 400 block of Creekwood Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. That man, who was later identified as Gregory Cotton III, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He has since died due to the injuries he sustained from the shooting.
Moments after deputies found Cotton, another man who was shot was found on West Lancaster Road, near the 6400 block of Winegard Road. That man, who has not been identified by police, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is currently still hospitalized.
Homicide detectives believe the two shootings are related, but have not provided any additional details regarding the shootings.
