VIDEO: Pipeline virtual ride-along for coaster opening this month

SeaWorld Orlando has released virtual video footage of a ride-along for its new roller coaster, Pipeline, which opens at the park later this month.

The video shows the ride’s twists and turns, lasting around a minute before transitioning to a word from Rob McNicholas, the Vice President of Park Operations at SeaWorld Orlando.

SeaWorld Orlando announced that the new roller coaster will open to the public on Saturday, May 27. On May 12, the park will begin allowing its Pass Members to preview the ride.

The attraction features 2,950 feet of track and will reach a top speed of 60 mph. It tops off at 110 feet, making it the fourth tallest roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando after Mako (200′), Kraken (153′), and Manta (140′).

Last month, SeaWorld Orlando officials announced that military members and up to three of their guests may receive free tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased for 50% off the ticketed price as well. Tickets must be obtained by May 14 for entry into the park through July 9. To register for free tickets, visit the Waves of Honor Military Discounts webpage through SeaWorld Orlando.
