A popular hotel across the street from Universal Orlando announced the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation last week.
Located at 5916 Caravan Court, Holiday Inn & Suites announced a collection of modernizations to its hotel, including changes to guest rooms, suites, the lobby, and all meeting and event venue spaces.
According to a press release issued by the company, the hotel’s 239 guestrooms and 151 suites were all upgraded with new seating, lighting, bedding fixtures, dressers, built-in closets, desks, and 55-inch televisions. The renovated rooms also feature new, modern kitchenettes with mini-fridges, microwaves, and Keurig coffee machines.
The hotel also revamped 13,000 square feet of meeting space, including its Grand Ballroom and Junior Ballroom. The spaces were completely redesigned with new paint, carpet, lighting, furnishings, and window treatments. The space can now be arranged in various ways to host up to 500 guests, according to the company.
The hotel joins several others that have been renovated or newly constructed in the region over the past several months.
In May, Cambria Hotel announced the opening of its second Orlando location at 6801 Visitors Circle, joining the company’s other location at the Orlando International Airport. The 118-room hotel features a rooftop lounge with a 360-degree view of the city, as well as a rooftop swimming pool.
In December, Drury Plaza Hotel officially opened for business at 2000 Hotel Plaza Boulevard in Lake Buena Vista, after four years of renovations and construction. The $48-million hotel features a saltwater pool, splash pad, an arcade, and over 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
