A local taco food truck was closed for a day after a health inspector cited multiple violations, including the presence of roaches and flying insects.
Tacos Mi Casita, which stations itself at 701 West Lancaster Road in Orlando, was forced to temporarily close its doors on Monday, July 10, after failing a health inspection conducted by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
According to the report, at least 7 violations were cited during the inspection, including 4 considered high priority.
Among the high priority violations was the presence of live, small flying insects. The report notes that the inspector observed at least four live flying insects flying around the food preparation area.
Additionally, at least seven live roaches were found in cabinets under the food preparation areas.
The food truck was reinspected on Wednesday, July 12, and was permitted to reopen after no additional violations were cited.
