A Casselberry restaurant that serves Chinese food with a Peruvian twist was forced to close its business for one day after a health inspector found multiple health code violations.
8-8 Panda, which is located at 500 SR 436 in Casselberry, was forced to temporarily close its restaurant on Monday, July 31, after a health inspector from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation found 15 health code violations.
Among the high priority violations was the presence of live, small, flying insects in the kitchen, as well as live roaches found on shelving and on the cook line. Additionally, at least 10 rodent droppings were found in a storage area and next to a back door on the floor.
The restaurant was reinspected on Tuesday, August 1, and was permitted to reopen, despite at least six violations remaining.
Last October, the business was forced to temporarily close for one day after similar violations were cited, including dozens of rodent droppings and dead roaches.
