A bar along State Road 434 in Winter Springs was forced to temporarily close its doors for one day last week after an inspector cited multiple health code violations, including the presence of rodent activity.
Khaos, which is located at 178 SR 434 in Winter Springs, was forced to close on Tuesday, August 8, after an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited at least 19 health code violations.
Among the code violations were four considered high priority, including the presence of roaches, live flying insects, and rat feces.
During the inspection, at least five live roaches were found around the bar, as well as over 60 rat droppings. Additionally, four live, small flying insects were found in the bar area.
The bar was reinspected on Wednesday, August 9, and was permitted to reopen after only six violations remained.
