Multiple individuals wanted for liquor thefts at Sanford businesses

Sanford police are asking the public for help to identify three individuals wanted in connection with two separate thefts of alcohol from local businesses.

According to the Sanford Police Department, the following individual visited the Sam’s Club located at 1101 Rinehart Road on September 28, 2023.

Man wanted for theft of liquor from Sams Club

During his visit, the man selected two bottles of Casamigos Tequila, as well as two boxes containing 12 bottles of Grey Goose Vodka.

The man then left the store without paying for the items, which carried an approximate value of $631.72, according to police.

During a second incident, the following individuals were observed by surveillance cameras at the business located at 3221 S. Orlando Drive.

Couple wanted for theft at Mels Diner

The man allegedly forced his way into the business through the front door, walked to the back room where the breakers are located and shut off the power.

During an inventory of the building, the restaurant told police that three bottles of vodka had been stolen. The bottles carried a value of approximately $100.
