FHP identifies truck in hit-and-run that killed 68-year-old man

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the make and the model of a pickup truck that struck and killed a bicyclist who was riding along Narcoossee Road on Wednesday.

According to FHP, car parts found at the fatal accident were confirmed to have come from a white, 2023-2024 Toyota Tundra Platinum Edition.

Authorities say that the vehicle in question should have damage to the front right bumper and headlight assembly.

The fatal accident took place at around 3:35 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22. The bicyclist, who was identified as a 68-year-old man from St. Cloud, was traveling northbound on N Narcoossee Road, just south of Countryside Court in the bicycle lane.

According to FHP, the pickup truck was also traveling northbound on the roadway when it failed to maintain the outside lane and struck the bicycle from behind.

After the collision, the pickup truck fled the scene northbound on Narcoossee Road.
