Rod Wave is making his debut performance at the Amway Center with a collection of special guests this week.
The rapper will perform on Friday, December 15, at 8 p.m. at the venue, which is located at 400 E. Church Street. The show will also feature performances by Ari Lennox, Toosii, and Eelmatic.
Rodarius Marcell Green, a.k.a, Rod Wave, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter that is best known for his strong voice and for his hand in creating the subgenre soul-trap. The singer rose to fame with his 2019 single Heart on Ice, which went viral on YouTube and TikTok and peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100.
His debut album, Ghetto Gospel, peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard 200. His second album, Pray 4 Love, peaked at number 2 on the Billboard and included the song Rags2Riches, which peaked at number 12 on the Hot 100.
His subsequent studio albums, SoulFly, Beautiful Mind, and Nostalgia, each debuted atop the Billboard 200 and earned him further critical acclaim for his soulful delivery and lyricism.
