Purple Alert for missing Deltona man last seen over weekend

UPDATE: Nathaniel Davidson has been located and is safe.

A Purple Alert has been issued across the state over concerns for a 24-year-old man who went missing over the weekend.

Nathaniel Davidson was reported missing on Sunday, January 14, after he left his parents home in Deltona, according to a statement issued by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

The alert was issued due to concerns about Davidson’s state of mind, mental health, and behavior indicating thoughts of self-harm.

Davidson was last seen wearing light colored sweatpants with camouflage gym shorts, a black Nike windbreaker, a green camouflage jacket, and a blue and yellow beanie over a black beanie.

According to authorities, Davidson has a transient living situation and is often seen traveling between Deltona and Seminole County. Deputies have been searching that area, as well as the Enterprise bike trail.

The sheriff’s office says that Davidson might not welcome contact from anyone trying to help.
