Suspect arrested in homicide of 35-year-old father

Orlando police have arrested a suspect who they believe is responsible for fatally shooting a 35-year-old father.

Timothy Earl Isom-Petty, Jr., 22, was arrested by Orlando Police Department officers on Thursday, January 18, in connection with the shooting death of Michael B. Robinson.

According to OPD, Isom-Petty and Robinson were having an argument in the area of Thomas Street and Drew Street on January 8. The argument escalated until Isom-Petty allegedly shot Robinson with a gun.

Robinson was pronounced deceased at the scene.

After the incident, OPD reported that Isom-Petty remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

On Thursday, Isom-Petty was taken into custody. He is being charged with first degree murder and is currently incarcerated at the Orange County Jail.
