The Orlando Police Department is asking the public to help identify a woman wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a 13-year-old bicyclist injured.
The woman featured in this story was seen driving the vehicle in question at the intersection of Conway Road and Haverstraw Avenue on January 17.
According to a statement from OPD, at around 7:30 a.m., while driving through the intersection, the woman’s vehicle struck a 13-year-old girl who was riding her bicycle.
The girl was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle “stopped briefly” before leaving the scene.
Authorities say the vehicle is believed to be a silver 2021 or newer Kia Rio.
