Detectives have arrested a male suspect accused of killing a 26-year-old woman in Orange County on Monday morning.
In a media release on Tuesday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced that a murder suspect, identified as 32-year-old John W. Beaucejour, has been arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
Beaucejour is being charged with second-degree murder (with a firearm) in connection with the fatal shooting of Muralla Nicole De Santiago.
At around 7:40 a.m. on Monday, OCSO deputies responded to the area of S Goldenrod Road and Nolton Way in Orange County, and they discovered De Santiago’s body. She had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“This is still an active homicide investigation,” stated OCSO. The sheriff’s office added that the suspect, Beaucejour, was “immediately located and secured” by deputies, and the incident appears to be “domestic in nature.”
No further details were released by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
