A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing an individual in downtown Orlando on Sunday night.
Shortly after 10:05 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, Orlando Police Department officers were on patrol in the downtown area when they were flagged down in reference to a stabbing incident that had occurred outside the Taco Kat located at 11 S Court Avenue, according to OPD.
When officers arrived at the incident location, they found a victim who had sustained unspecified injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
No further details were provided regarding the victim’s identity or their condition.
OPD stated in a media release that a man, later identified as William Isaiah Janey, attempted to flee from the incident location. The police department added that “investigative results” led to his arrest.
Janey was transported to Orange County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond. He is being charged with attempted second-degree murder.
A court date for Janey has not been scheduled yet.
