34-year-old arrested for manslaughter after sexual encounter turns violent

A 34-year-old man is facing a manslaughter charge after he met up with another man for sex and beat him to death for biting down on his penis.

Bryant Scott Demelo was arrested last week by Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputies on an active warrant for manslaughter.

According to police, Demelo met up with the victim on September 5, 2022, after the two spoke through an online chat group for sexual encounters. Demelo says he and the victim engaged in oral sex and, during the encounter, the victim bit down on his penis.

Demelo says that he then beat the victim before fleeing the scene without calling 911 or rendering aid.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes detectives and the Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the location after a suspicious death was reported. While inspecting the scene, detectives noted that the deceased victim was wearing bondage gear and appeared to have trauma to his body.

Detectives determined that Demelo was the last person who had been in contact with the victim.

After the medical examiner’s office ruled the death was caused by blunt force trauma and strangulation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for manslaughter for Demelo.

On Tuesday, January 3, Demelo was arrested in Seminole County on the active warrant. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of methamphetamine.
