Suspect wanted for armed robbery of Wawa

Sanford police are asking the public for help to identify and locate a man wanted for armed robbery of a local Wawa.

According to the Sanford Police Department, the man featured in this story was recorded on video surveillance entering the Wawa, located at 2690 W 25th Street, on January 11, at approximately 3:45 a.m.

A cashier was conducting a money count when the man pointed a silver firearm at the employee and demanded the cashier move out of the way.

The suspect then took approximately $300 from the register and ran out of the store and onto Airport Boulevard.

The suspect was described as having a slender build, standing 5’8″ tall, and was wearing a black-hooded jacket, black pants, work boots, orange gloves, sunglasses, and a surgical mask.
