Police identify mother found dead in crashed car in west Orlando

Police have identified a 27-year-old mother who was shot to death and found in her car after she crashed in west Orlando.

Nekaybaw Iyona Collier was found on Thursday evening by deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office who were responding to reports of a vehicle crash in the 5200 block of N Powers Drive.

Upon arrival, officers found Collier unresponsive inside her 2015 Mercedes GLA 250, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Collier, who was a mother of one, was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office detectives are in the midst of their investigation and are asking the public for help to catch those responsible for this homicide.
