La Isla Del Frappe closes food truck after failed health inspection

A popular Puerto Rican food truck was forced to temporarily close its doors after the business failed a health inspection last week.

La Isla Del Frappe & Punchungui’s Pinchos, which is stationed at 11500 S Orange Blossom Trail, was forced to temporarily close on Monday, January 9, after an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited 9 food health code violations.

According to the health inspector’s report, the establishment was operating with no potable running water. Additionally, the business was operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license.

The food truck was reinspected the following day, and was permitted to reopen despite seven violations remaining.
