A 30-year-old woman was killed after she was ejected from the vehicle she was riding in when it overturned exiting Interstate 95.
The fatal accident took place at the northbound exit to U.S. Highway 1 from I-95 on Thursday, February 2, at around 8:25 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 33-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma northbound on the exit ramp when he failed to maintain a single lane and lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle ran off the roadway left and began overturning. While it was overturning, two passengers in the backseat were ejected from the vehicle. All of the occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital.
The rear left passenger, a 30-year-old Orlando woman, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The other passenger that was ejected, a 24-year-old woman from Kissimmee, sustained serious injuries but is in stable condition.
The driver and two additional passengers, a 43-year-old Apopka man and a 34-year-old Orlando woman, sustained minor injuries.
