17-year-old killed, two others wounded in west Orlando shootings

Police are investigating two west Orlando shootings that they believe are related that left one 17-year-old individual dead and two others injured.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 5600 block of Silver Star Road on Sunday, February 12, at around 9:08 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found the body of Daquarius Allen Session.

Session was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Around the same time, law enforcement authorities responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Hastings Street and Silver Star Road.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two men, ages 19 and 24, suffering from gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. The two men were transported to a local hospital.

Detectives believe that the shootings are related, but are unclear if Session was the intended target.
