A new Irish pub is currently under construction at a familiar location in College Park.
The Castle Irish Pub and Restaurant is currently under construction at 2625 Edgewater Drive, replacing former tenant Thai Farm Kitchen, which closed its doors on September 10, 2022.
The restaurant is slated to open sometime in 2023, but not much additional information has been released.
According to the company’s social media accounts, The Castle celebrated its one-year anniversary in Dublin. Currently, a well-known pub designer is building the “entire bar” in Ireland in what the company says its effort to “represent a True Authentic Irish pub in Orlando.”
The restaurant joins an ever-changing landscape in College Park, which has seen multiple businesses close or open shop over the past year.
That includes Honolulu Harry’s, which opened last year, and Pizza Bruno, which opened in October. It also includes Freehand Goods, which is currently under construction at the former location of El Vic’s Indian Cuisine.
Additionally, earlier this year The Current Seafood Counter announced that it would replace former tenant Jade Sushi and New Asian, which closed its doors in November after 10 years in business. That business is currently under construction.
