Eugene Raymond Braucht

Gene Braucht died unexpectedly at home on March 8th, 2023 in Edgewater, Florida at the age of 78.

Gene is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vickie; children, Jodi Galloway (George), Robert “Boots” Braucht (Michelle), Shane Braucht (Melody); grandchildren, Victoria Lewis (Danny), Ciarra Cooper (Kirhee), Boaz Braucht (Kennedy), Logan Braucht (Bre); great-grandchildren, Micah, Mallory, Mathew, Adley and Gianna. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Mathew Galloway.

Gene was born on April 30th, 1944 in Shreveport, Lousiana. He married Vickie, the love of his life in 1972. After moving to Edgewater, Gene had a lifelong career as a Meat Market Manager.

He was a loving and dedicated husband, provider, dad, and Papa. He built his life around caring for his family. He loved spending time at home with his wife and caring for their four dogs.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, March 11th, 2023 at 11:00 am at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with an hour of viewing to precede the service. Pastor Jason McFarran will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gene’s life.
