Robert Austin Wilson

Robert Austin Wilson, 52, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, February 27, 2023. Robert was born on January 9, 1971, in Port of Spain, Trinidad to Austin Wilson and Pearl Cordner. Brother Robert A. Wilson attended St. Anthony’s College in Port of Spain, Tobago. At the age of16, he moved to the United States, where he attended Meadowbrook Middle School, then later attended Evans High School. There is where he played his beloved sport of soccer and singing in the school choir.

Brother Robert accepted Christ at an early age. He continued with his Christian worship at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Orlando, FL. He proceeded to join and become an active member of the River of Life Christian Center in Orlando, FL.

Brother Robert was an employee of Home Depot and later sought interest in transportation with Lynx for over 15 years. He continued to pursue his passion in working for Jet Set and Jay’s Transportation. Brother Robert was a devoted husband of 21 years, father, papa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed playing soccer, spending time at the beach, singing in the church choir, cooking, and spending time with family.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Lajuana Wilson; daughters, Ashley Williams, Robbi Wilson, and Raina Wilson; mother, Pearl Cordner; sisters, Nancy Wilson (Andrew), Krystal Wilson; brothers, Junior Charles (Olga), Derek Wilson (Candance); grandchildren, Aliyah Williams and Amia Williams Brown; and a host of neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 11:00 AM at River of Life Christian Center of Orlando, 4300 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Ste. #220, Orlando with Pastor David Blow, eulogist.
