A 24-year-old man is being accused of having sex with a teenager at her grandmother’s home in Osceola County.
On Sunday, March 26, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit responded to a local home in response to a report of the sexual battery of a 14-year-old girl.
During an interview, the victim told her that while she was at her grandmother’s house, 24-year-old Matthew Nieves had sex with her on the back porch.
Nieves is a friend of the victim’s family, according to authorities.
During a follow-up interview with the suspect, Nieves admitted to providing the teenager alcohol and having sex with her.
On Monday, March 27, the OCSO Special Victim’s Unit obtained a warrant for Nieves on two counts of lewd and lascivious battery, one count of lewd and lascivious conduct, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Nieves is incarcerated at the Osceola County Department of Corrections.
