44-year-old woman, 57-year-old man caught with meth during Clermont traffic stop

Two individuals were arrested in possession of methamphetamine after their vehicle was searched during a traffic stop in Clermont.

Sarah Trover, 44, and Johnny Sizemore, 57, were arrested on Thursday, March 23, by Clermont police after a traffic stop turned up meth.

According to a report filed by the Clermont Police Department, at approximately 2:44 a.m. on the day in question, an officer noticed a vehicle with a defaced tag.

The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by Trover, along Magnolia Point Boulevard and State Road 50. During the stop, the officer asked Trover if she had anything illegal in the vehicle and she responded that she did not before consenting to a search of the vehicle.

During the search, officers found two clear, tied-up bags with a crystal-like substance on the passenger’s seat, as well as two more clear bags in a purple bookbag that also contained Trover’s credit and debit cards.

Trover was questioned and began to cry, stating that her passenger, Sizemore, had stuffed all of the items into the bookbag as the vehicle was being pulled over. When the officer attempted to speak with Sizemore, he refused to answer any questions.

Trover and Sizemore were both arrested for possession of methamphetamine. During a database search, officers learned that Sizemore had a warrant issued for his arrest for kidnapping, false imprisonment, and battery by strangulation.

Trover was released from the Lake County Jail on March 24 after posting bail. Sizemore is still being held on his active warrant.
