Need to dispose of sensitive documents? Shred event this weekend

A Shred-a-Thon event this weekend will give anyone with sensitive documents a chance to dispose of them safely.

The event takes place on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Timber Creek High School, which is located at 1001 Avalon Park Boulevard in Orlando.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will post up at the bus loop of the school to accept paperwork piles that are placed in the trunk of vehicles.

The event is free and open to the public, but will only offer a drive-thru option. Prescription drug disposal is also available during the event.
