Suspect in armed robbery at convenience store arrested by Orlando police

A 43-year-old man is facing felony charges after police identified him as a suspect in an armed robbery at a convenience store near downtown Orlando.

Luis Omar Ubiles was arrested on Thursday, May 25, by Orlando Police Department officers in connection with a commercial robbery that took place earlier this month.

According to OPD, Ubiles entered the Big B Supermarket located at 749 South Westmoreland Drive on the morning of May 3, 2023.

During his visit, Ubiles allegedly began waving a firearm at the store clerk and demanding money. After he was given cash, he fled the scene.
