Winter Park woman wins $1 million from scratch-off

A 56-year-old woman from Winter Park claimed a $1 million prize from a scratch-off that she purchased from a local gas station recently.

On Friday, the Florida Lottery announced that Mary Walker claimed a $1 million prize through the DIAMOND MINE 20X scratch-off game.

Walker claimed her prize at the lottery headquarters, which are located in Tallahassee, and chose to receive her winnings as a lump-sum payment of $695,000.

According to lottery officials, Walker purchased her ticket from the Circle K gas station located at 31734 East State Road 44, in Eustis. The gas station will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The DIAMOND MINE 20X scratch-off game costs $10 and offers more than $158 million in cash prizes, including four top prizes of $1 million. The overall odds of winning the scratch-off game are 1-in-3.32.

Multiple Central Florida residents have made big wins in recent weeks.

Last month, a Kissimmee woman claimed a $5 million prize from a scratch-off that she purchased in Sanford.

Just a couple weeks before that, an Orlando man won $1 million from a scratch-off he purchased at a local Publix.
