UCF renames football stadium after $19.5 million naming rights deal

The University of Central Florida has sold the naming rights to its famed football stadium.

According to a release from the school, on Tuesday, the UCF Board of Trustees approved an agreement between the UCF Athletic Association and FBC Mortgage, LLC, for a new, 10-year, $19.5 million deal that will take effect beginning with the upcoming football season.

As part of the deal, UCF football will brand its venue as FBC Mortgage Stadium and will play home games through the 2031 football season there. The new arrangement officially begins on July 1.

“It’s an exciting day for UCF Athletics and for FBC Mortgage to be able to collaborate on the naming of our football stadium,” says Terry Mohajir, UCF vice president and director of athletics. “Sellouts have become the norm at UCF. Our game day experience has been widely recognized–and I believe it is second to no one. Knight Nation has established the atmosphere at FBC Mortgage Stadium as one of the best in the country.”

“FBC was founded in 2005 in downtown Orlando, and we are very proud to partner with our hometown university, UCF,” says Rob Nunziata, FBC Mortgage co-CEO.

First known as Bright House Networks Stadium, the venue opened in 2007 and, after 28 season previously playing at Camping World Stadium, the UCF football team made its debut at the facility on September 15, 2007.

In 2017, the venue was renamed the Spectrum Stadium.

The building is located on the north side of UCF’s main campus in east Orlando. The stadium features luxury boxes, a large club lounge and a natural grass playing surface.
