The Kerouac House will host a potluck dinner this weekend to welcome its new summer resident.
The dinner will be held on Saturday, June 4, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the house, which is located at 1418 Clouser Avenue.
This year’s summer resident is Rachel Kolman, a nonfiction writer and freelancer currently living in Philadelphia. Kolman’s essays and articles have been published across multiple publications, including Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, Bustle, Her Story, Autofocus, Sinkhole, and Tech Viral, among others.
Kolman is an editor, teacher, and literary community enthusiast. In addition to editing works for clients and publishing freelance pieces across the internet, Kolman also teaches classes at both Drexel University and the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University.
