Vietnamese restaurants fails 8th health inspection in 4 months

A Vietnamese restaurant was temporarily closed last week after failing a health inspection for the eighth time in the past four months.

Never Phoget: A Taste of Vietnam was forced to close its location at 505 SR 436 in Casselberry on Friday, September 22, after a health inspector from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited 16 violations.

According to the inspector’s report, among the violations were three considered high priority, including the presence of roach activity. During the inspection, at least 20 roaches were found around the kitchen, and roach excrement was found in multiple areas.

Additionally, dead roaches were found in the customer area and other parts of the restaurant.

The restaurant was reinspected later that day and was permitted to reopen, despite 13 violations remaining.

In July, the restaurant failed three consecutive health inspections between July 18 and July 19. Among the violations cited was the presence of roach activity, as evidenced by at least 17 live roaches found around the kitchen and restaurant.

In June, the restaurant was closed after failing two health inspections.

In May, the restaurant was closed for two days after it was cited for multiple code violations.
