Bea Antoney Wagner

Bea Antoney Wagner at 90 years old entered God’s kingdom on June 3, 2022. She was born in
Canton, Ohio to the late George and Toula Antoney. Bea graduated from Timken High School in 1949 and worked as a floral designer for the Anderson Flower Shop for 8 years.

In 1957 she moved to Miami Beach where she met her former husband, William Wagner. They married in 1958 and had two children, William George Wagner and Dina Ann Shafer. She was a caring, generous mother who enjoyed sharing her wisdom and her work ethic with her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Bea and her family moved to Orlando, Florida in 1967 where she resided the remainder of her life. She was a entrepreneur at heart, and in 1978 opened World Imports, a costume jewelry boutique shop in Central Florida. The business grew to a thriving company providing Disney products to a host of souvenir shops for more than 20 years.

Bea believed and knew that Jesus loved her. She was very active in the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, serving two years as president of the Ladies Philoptochos Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Dina and husband, Brian Shafer; son William George Wagner, grandchildren; Brianna Shafer, Seth and Grace Wagner; Savannah & her husband, Stephen Bass and great granddaughter Annalia and many friends and relatives in Canton, OH; and her late sister, Poppey Kleon.

Services will be held on June 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox, 1217 Trinity Woods Lane, Maitland Florida 32751.
