Jack Willard Guignard

It is with deep sadness that the family of Jack Willard Guignard announces his peaceful passing into the arms of Our Lord, on June 3, 2022.

The third in line of seven children born February 9, 1931 to Charles & Naomi Guignard, Jack recognized early the value of discipline and hard work as a 6th grader working at Sandy’s market in St. Louis, MO. He maintained a strong work ethic and was never without a job. He also took his role of dad very seriously for which his family is very thankful.

Jack served from 1952 to 1954 in the US Army stationed in Korea. His love for our country and conservative philosophy filled many passionate conversations. Upon his return from Korea, he attended Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated with a degree in Business and choose a career in the Surety Bond Industry.

This past April Jack celebrated his 64th year of marriage to his beloved wife, Shirley. Together they raised their children Jacqualyn and Bryce residing in Altamonte Springs since 1972. Jack enjoyed traveling and appreciated all our beautiful world has to offer. Music was a very important part of Jack’s life. Whether he was playing drums, dancing with his wife, or listening to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Jack loved it all.

In 1977 Jack founded Guignard Company where he worked with many area contractors to guarantee their construction projects. He earned a reputation for providing sound business advice and getting things done.

Lovingly called “Grandad” and “Great Grandad” by his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Jack shared of himself with tremendous patience, generosity, and wisdom of life. Using baseball analogies his advice to family members would be “Life is all about your batting average. You have to step up to the plate and take your best swing.” Through each interaction over the years the feelings of love and respect are rooted deep within his family tree.

Strong in his Catholic faith Jack was blessed with 91 years. Prayers to Our Blessed Mother sustained him through life’s ups and downs. He maximized his years in all aspects often saying “ I’ve had a good run!”

To his family and friends Jack swung for the stars and hit a home run… He will be greatly missed by many.
