Jean Marie Stacy

Jean Marie Stacy was an unconventional soul who will be missed by her children and friends. Jean was born in Cleveland Ohio to Pat and Phyllis Delfino.

She graduated from Regina High School. She was extremely handy, and enjoyed working on cars with her father and brothers. Her favorite restoration was a 1955 Mercury. Jean married Frank Sheehan and had three girls, Patty, Terry, and Nicki. While her marriage was not happy, she made sure her girls were. She allowed roller skating in the house before new floors were installed. She encouraged us to climb trees and be strong and independent women unafraid to skin our knees or break a bone. Upon moving to Florida, she became an avid golfer, wood carver, artist, and red hat bingo player in her old age. Her proudest accomplishment was making wine in our dining room. Her favorite was vintage Thursday. Jean had a competitive streak. She once beat all the men who worked in her factory in a nailing contest. She was the secretary. They were humiliated. She married Marvin Stacy and restored a home on Lake Mary. Our mom taught us to never let the boys win and always hold your own. We will do our best to live up to her example.

She is survived by her daughters Patty Sheehan, Terry Walker, and Nicki Hackett, brother Martin Delfino, Grandsons Thomas (TJ) and Nicholas Walker, granddaughter Madison Hackett, and cousin Marlene Beohmerle, whom she considered her little sister. She is also survived by a fussy little parakeet named Buddy. She was preceded in death by her beloved dogs Candee, Tippy, Chi Chi, and Bijou.
