New immersive waterslide coming to Aquatica Orlando

A new, immersive ride will put a twist on the classic waterside when it opens at Aquatica Orlando next year.

Tassie’s Underwater Twist is the most recent addition announced for the water park. The new ride is scheduled to open at Aquatica next Spring, according to park officials.

“Take the plunge into an incredible aquatic setting just below the surface of the ocean, where the landscape blooms with lush yellow-green seagrass of Australia’s Shark Bay,” reads a statement from the company.

The ride is open to riders 48″ and taller, with anyone under 48″ requiring a life vest.

No additional details were released by the park.

Earlier this year, SeaWorld Orlando released a virtual ride-through video of its new penguin-themed roller coaster, Penguin Trek, which is also scheduled to open next year.

That roller coaster joins two other roller coasters that have opened at SeaWorld Orlando since last year: Pipeline, a surf-style roller coaster that opened in May, and Ice Breaker, a steel roller coaster that opened in February 2022.
