Company lays off seven at Orlando Sanford International Airport

A company at the Orlando Sanford International Airport will lay off seven individuals

TBI US Operations, Inc. made the announcement in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity on Tuesday, December 12.

According to the filing, the company “has decided to reduce its operations at its facility” at the airport, which is located at 2001 Red Cleveland Boulevard in Sanford. The company says that it will “commence layoffs” at the facility on February 15, 2024.

The company says that seven different employees are scheduled for separation through April 30, 2024, including a staffing coordinator, an executive assistant, two senior general ledger accountants, and an assistant controller, among others.

The layoffs come a few months after several dozen people were at risk of losing their jobs at the airport as well.

In July, Allegiant Airlines provided positions to dozens of employees who were scheduled to be laid off by the Orlando Sanford International Airport.
