Suspect sought in arson of Orlando ice cream stand

The Orlando Fire Department released video of a suspect wanted in connection with the alleged arson of a local ice cream stand.

On the morning of May 4, the suspect in the following video is seen intentionally setting fire to Goff’s Drive In, located at 212 S Orange Blossom Trail.

The business, which has been serving Orlando for nearly 75 years, has spent the past several weeks rebuilding and restoring their facility.

“Watching someone maliciously try to destroy a building that has served joyful memories for generations is a nightmare we wish we could wake up from. This just cannot be real,” reads a social media post from the organization.

The ice cream shop started a GoFundMe campaign to help with repairs.

“You don’t celebrate 74 years and give up. We feel their strength, we feel our community’s love and support. Orlando, we love you.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 800-423-8477 to provide an anonymous tip.
