Barry Wayne Catley

Barry Wayne Catley, 65, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on June 9, 2022. He was born on August 9, 1956 to Charles and Dolores (Edelbrock) Catley in Rochester, PA. Barry worked as a Server for Walt Disney World.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother; Charles William Catley. Barry is survived by his loving family; wife, Diane Marie Maxwell Catley of Kissimmee, FL; sister, Teri (Richard) Kubik of Monaca, PA; brothers, Bill (Theresa) Catley and Robert (Christine) Catley both of Aliquppa, PA; sister-in-law Linda Catley of Mechanicsburg, PA and brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Maxwell of Vero Beach, FL, as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Barry graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh with a degree in music He appeared as the Purple Panda on Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood, as well as “Chef Brockett” productions around Pittsburgh. It was love-at-first-sight on September 18, 1984 when Barry was paired as a duet partner with Diane Maxwell for Des Moines. The production was in Boca Raton, FL and he remained a Florida Resident, ever since. Barry started working at Walt Disney World in 1991 and truly loved his Garden Grill Family. He enjoyed creating memories for his guests from around the world. Barry married his soulmate, Diane, on the anniversary of the day they met, September 18, 1992. A lifelong Steelers fan, Barry enjoyed watching football with his Diane an avid Packers fan. Cruising was a passion of Barry’s. He also loved attending Broadway shows and spending time at the beach. One of his greatest joys was taking his family and friends to Walt Disney World. Especially his nieces and nephews. Barry and Diane didn’t just love each other, they were IN love all these years. So much so, they shared a nickname “Bearbubs”.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 7:00 M in the funeral home chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 23, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Richard Trout as Celebrant, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1050 Celebration Ave., Celebration, FL 34747.
