A 21-year-old man is being accused of murdering his wife after police found her body during a wellness check to an Altamonte Springs apartment this week.
On Tuesday, June 21, officers from the Altamonte Springs Police Department arrested Xichen Yang in connection with the death of his wife, Nhu Quynh Pham, after they conducted a wellness check at 909 Ballard Street.
According to police, Yang was identified as a person of interest after police responded to the apartment in the morning and found Pham’s deceased body. Yang was not originally present when officers arrived, but was quickly located and taken into custody without incident.
Investigators say Yang attempted to clean up the crime scene before fleeing the area.
Yang is facing charges of first degree premeditated murder and tampering with physical evidence.
