Ernest Brogden Palmer

Ernest Brogden Palmer died on June 24, 2022. He was born on May 21, 1938, to Eleanor and Paul Palmer. He graduated from Edgewater High School in 1956 and the University of Florida in 1960 where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He served as a lieutenant in the Florida National Guard. Ernie was an owner and manager of Palmer Feed Store.

He loved his family, his friends, his church, the Y— where he was a founding member, and his Tree Top Lodge. In later life he found his sport: Rowing. He spent many enjoyable years “rowing his boat.” He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, his son, David, daughter Becky Fisher (John), and son Bill. Ernie was so proud of his grandchildren: Hillary Jackson (Phillip), Grayson Fisher, Leslie Anne Fisher, Brady Palmer and Molly Palmer.

A Memorial Service will be held at The First United Methodist Church in Orlando on June 29 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Friends of Music or the Capital Fund at the First United Methodist Church, Orlando.
