Maitland police and fire rescue are currently on the scene of an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on 17-92 in Maitland.
As of 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Maitland Police Department officers and Maitland Fire Rescue firefighters were tending to the accident, which took place near the intersection of U.S. Hwy 17-92 and Sybelia Parkway.
All southbound lanes on U.S. 17-92 are currently closed between Maitland Boulevard and Sybelia Parkway and traffic is being detoured. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
