The city of Orlando’s deadline to apply for emergency rental assistance is Friday.
City officials anticipate that the entire $6.8 million in COVID-19 Relief Funds awarded to the city by the U.S. Department of Treasury will be exhausted.
The city has doled out funds to 2,000 households through its previous rounds of emergency rental assistance. Additional funding from the state’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act has been used to assist over 550 households with past due rent.
Any households looking for information on how to apply for this latest round of funding, before the July 1 deadline, may visit the city of Orlando’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program webpage.
