Gladys Bertha López Mastrapa

Gladys Bertha López Mastrapa was born on October 19, 1957 in Colonia Mastrapa in the province of Las Tunas, Cuba. Daughter of the marriage of Oscar López and Mirtha Mastrapa. His early years were spent in the neighborhood of his paternal grandfather Justo López.
When communism entered Cuba, things changed and they moved to Colonia Mastrapa where they lived for many years. There she studied with her teacher Carmen Rodríguez, then the date of her 15th birthday arrived. That birthday was very nice, attended by around 400 people. including family and friends.
Some time later he moved to Camagüey to the house of his uncles Tomas and Migdalia in the company of his maternal grandparents. In Camagüey he finished his pre-university studies. There he met Lázaro Pozo with whom he fell in love and later they got married, from that marriage his only daughter Yudelsys Pozo was born, who was always by his side until his last breath.
In the early 1980s, she moved with her daughter, parents, and sisters to Las Tunas, where she worked in culture for several years until they decided to emigrate to Costa Rica in 1993.
In 1995 he came to the United States, lived in Brooksville and then moved to Orlando where he worked various jobs including Florida Hospital, restaurants and patient care.
In October 2000 her beloved father passed away, shortly after Gladys made the decision to be baptized, starting a ministry that today is a legacy. When her mother passed away, she assumed the ministry of helping many families and brothers of the Church in Cuba.
In 2007 Gladys was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis. That was never an obstacle for her to continue working and fighting to help her family and brothers in Christ.
Unfortunately the disease continued to progress and left her bedridden until her last days. On Tuesday June 28, 2022 at 6:36 pm he took his last breath.

He is survived by his daughter Yudelsys, his sisters Lala, Emma and Mirtica with their respective families. We have the blessed hope of meeting her very soon.
