Maryland Fried Chicken shut down after three failed health inspections in three days

A chicken fast food restaurant in east Orlando was shut down for three days after three failed health inspections last week.

The Maryland Fried Chicken restaurant located at 9710 East Colonial Drive was shut down after three failed health inspections between Monday, June 27 and Wednesday, June 29, according to a report from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

During the first inspection, nearly two dozen violations were found, including eight that were considered high priority. Among those were the presence of flying insects and roaches, as well as multiple food items being stored at incorrect temperatures.

During a second inspection on the following day, the inspector found at least ten remaining violations, including the presence of four live roaches and eight flying insects.

The business was not permitted to open even after a third inspection on account of five violations still remaining.

After a fourth inspection on Wednesday, June 29, the business was permitted to reopen, despite four violations still remaining.
