Margaret Oldson

Margaret “Kathleen” Oldson, 92, was born on January 24, 1930 and passed away on July 2, 2022 surrounded by loving family.
Kathleen was born in Campbellsburg, Indiana to Ernest G and Leo I Chastain. She married the love of her life, Lloyd Oldson, on October 2, 1949 and they enjoyed 71 years of a beautiful marriage before his passing in 2021.

After their marriage, they made their home on a farm near Salem, Indiana until 1963 when they moved to Orlando, Florida. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, accountant, and the perfect mom. She was very active in her church, where she was famous for her Coconut Cream Pie and Carrot Cake!

Kathleen and Lloyd enjoyed travelling all over the country after his retirement. They drove their converted mini-van and visited as many National Parks and historic sites as they could, along with visiting family all over.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her parents; her in-laws, C F and Martha Oldson; her brother, Donald Chastain; and grandson, Matthew Netzer.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Terry) McDaniel of Texas and Robert (Debbie) Oldson of Florida; along with 5 grandchildren and spouses; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Rosenbaum, and brother, Richard Chastain, both of Indiana.
