Oudom Thai closes restaurant after second failed health inspection since May

Oudom Thai Restaurant was forced to temporarily close its doors last week after a failed health inspection, which comes just two months after a separate closure in May.

According to a report filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the restaurant, which is located at 217-B N Woodland Boulevard in DeLand, was forced to temporarily close its doors on Wednesday, July 27, after a health inspector cited 16 violations.

Among the violations were five considered high priority, including the presence of rodents. The inspector found nearly 20 rodent droppings around the restaurant.

The restaurant was reinspected on the same day, and, although it was permitted to reopen, it required another follow-up inspection on Thursday, July 28.
