An IHOP in Sanford was forced to temporarily close its doors last week after a health inspector found rodent activity.
The restaurant, which is located at 3150 S. Orlando Avenue in Sanford, was forced to close its doors on Friday, August 19, after a food health inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited five code violations.
Among the violations was the presence of rodent activity, as evidenced by at least 30 rat droppings that were found around the restaurant. The report indicates that the violation was a repeat from a previous inspection.
The restaurant was reinspected later that day and permitted to reopen.
