Gail Denise Hart

Gail Denise Hart was born on July 7th, 1950 in Philadelphia PA. Her soul was laid to rest on February 24th, 2022 in Orlando FL. Gail was born to the late Constance E. Wills and Calvin Wallace. Gail was the eldest of ten children. Gail was raised in West Philadelphia where she attended Catholic, Public and Boarding Schools. In 1967 Gail fell in love and married William Roper. They had two girls Jeri Roper (Deceased) and Tramaine Roper. Gail and William Roper divorced in 1984. Gail later gave birth to two more girls Sharhonda Roper and Myah Roper. Gail was blessed to own her home in the late 80’s in New Jersey. This encouraged her journey of entrepreneurship. Gail started running a successful club followed by creating a program to help the youth in her community. Gail was dedicated to her Children, natural and maternally adopted, her grands and great grands, siblings, nieces, nephews, future generations and anyone who wanted to learn or just be loved. Gail worked as a Counselor and Therapist while putting herself through college. Gail graduated from Lincoln University May 4th, 1997 where she obtained her Master’s of Human Services. Gail then began pursue her passion to teach, she taught grades K-12, for over 33 years. Gail’s principals, coworkers, students, as well as the parents of said students loved her. Gail was rewarded several awards and certifications for her outstanding teaching methods. Gail lived for inspiring others, while being an active member in the community. One of the organizations she was a part of was the “African American Women’s Network” in Cherry Hill. Gail enjoyed spending quality time with her family, personal prayer time reading her bible, and watching her favorite crime shows. Gail paved the way for her children Jeri Roper- Wallace (Deceased). Tramaine Roper (Husband) Raheem Bond, Sharhonda Roper and Myah Roper. Her Grandkids Rodnika Hayward, Rodney Hayward Jr., Rochelle Hayward, Danira Roper, Daisha Roper, Jennah Ware, John Ware Jr, Joshua Simmons, and Mayye’ Boyd. Her 14 Great Grands and her siblings Frank Hart, Francine Hart (Deceased), Sheila Hart, Jonathan Young (Deceased), JoAnne Eggleston-Young, Lauren Young, Sylvia Young, Tracey Young and Stacey Young (Deceased) a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, Gail will forever be appreciated, cherished and loved by us all.
