Diane Elaine Reece

Diane Reece passed away on September 3, 2022. Diane was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1934. Diane attended the University of Georgia where she was a Phi Mu.

Diane married Phil Reece in 1956. They were married for 67 years. They moved to Winter Park in 1960. Diane served on the Winter Park Library Board for 18 years overseeing construction of the library located on New England Avenue.
She oversaw the original design of the old Winter Park Civic Center. She helped with the interior renovations of the Winter Park Golf Club. She served on the Winter Park Parks and Recreations Board for 6 years. She was a member of the Park Avenue Technical Committee, Junior Service League of Winter Park and a member of the Junior League of Greater Orlando. She was also a Pink Lady at Winter Park Hospital. Diane was also a member of the Orlando Museum of Art, Winter Park Historical Museum and Morse Museum.

Diane worked as an interior design consultant. She was active in the original Lake Highland Prep School as an officer and fund raiser.

Diane was preceded in death by her son, Wayne. Diane is survived by her husband, her son Brian, three grandsons, Cooper (Julia), Tyler and JP.
