Box to End Cancer, Walk to End Lupus events at Lake Eola Park this weekend

Lake Eola Park will play host to two separate fundraising events for cancer awareness this weekend.

The Box To End Cancer and the 2022 Walk to End Lupus will both take place on Saturday, September 24, at the park, which is located at which is located at 512 E Washington Street in downtown Orlando.

The Walk to End Lupus returns after taking a multi-year hiatus during the pandemic. Check-in for the walk begins at 4 p.m., with a ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m., and the walk scheduled for 5:30 p.m. To register or provide donations for the walk, visit the Walk to End Lupus event page.

Boxing Out Cancer will feature three fights, including two 30–minute bouts with lightweight boxers, halftime shows, and a final fight with heavyweight boxers. The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Event organizers say that over $75,000 was raised during last year’s event.Tickets for the event begin at $39 and can be purchased through the Boxing Out Cancer Eventbrite page.
